An Axe is Needed to Save the Trees

Quite an odd thought, really, but true since the poison ivy/poison oak strangled the trees in our neighborhood. Before the leaves would bud and the area was unwalkable, my husband cut the base of the vines so that not another tree would succumb to being weakened and eventual death. Admittedly they did provide us with more privacy and areas for the birds to roost, but would only hold true in the short term.
